TIRED OF ALL THE UNNECESSARY NOISE AROUND HERE?
That is, are you tired of all the train HORN noise?
WELL, I AM. Especially in the early morning hours!
"They" say its the law.
Trains have to sound their horn in congested areas, right?
Like Lockwood? At 3 AM?
So, here is the real skinny.

There are such things as "Quiet Zones."
Lockwood ought to be one.
Now, about the freeway...

Contact with Mr. Smith, who runs the railroad in this area, led to another agency that handles Quiet Zones. We then learned that there are 2 "private crossings" between the two bridges (Lockwood over and Mustang under), both owned by the railroad. These require trains to sound their horns, as mandated by federal law. So now you know.
