The River District Community Coalition announced by flyer today that there will be an open meeting on Thursday, April 29th, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Hillside Elementary School in the Multi-purpose room. The school is located on Peri Ranch Road east of Canyon Way in Lockwood.
Discussion of the key priorities for the project came from the January Community Planning Workshop sponsored by Hillside School and Community Chest of Storey County with participation by the USDA. Evidently, there already has been some work toward realizing those priorities.
The Park and Exercise Trail is to be situated entirely on county land. Click on the above image for a larger view. No cost to the community or its individual citizens will be incurred. Ideas are needed to make the project a success. A dog park, picnic facilities, a community garden, a walking trail with exercise stations are incorporated into the plan with the flyer.
Refreshments will be served by neighbors already involved in the project.
